Ötzi was a man from the Stone Age who died 5300 years ago amidst the peaks of the Alps. The extraordinary find of the glacier mummy along with its well-preserved equipment has completely changed our idea of what life in the Stone Age was like.
This app was developed in collaboration with the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology in Bozen: its fun and entertaining manner lets readers in on all sorts of interesting facts about the man from the ice. As well as the results of the latest scientific research, you can find explanations about his quite remarkable equipment and tattoos, which may be examined close up. Music has been specially composed for this app, adding an original soundtrack to your exploration of Ötzi's world.
More surprises await young researchers: you can dress Ötzi in his warm clothing made from animal skins. But there's more: you can have fun turning yourself into someone from the Stone Age with two clicks of the mouse! Take a photo of yourself and select the background to share the finished result with your friends…the adventure continues!
